DIGITAL EDUCATION ACTION PLAN – CONSULTATION

Dear EDEN Members,
Let us kindly remind you all that in September 2020, the European Commission will adopt a new Digital Education Action Plan promoting high-quality, accessible and inclusive education and training in the digital age. In the past months, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there was an unprecedented switch to distance and online learning to ensure continuity of the education and training process. The crisis demonstrated that reinforced efforts are needed at the EU level to promote the availability of digital infrastructure and the possession of digital skills among learners, educators and parents. To inform the new Digital Education Action Plan and to gather the views and experiences of citizens, institutions, organisations and companies during the coronavirus crisis, the Commission launched an open public consultation on 18 June, to which to can have access by clicking HERE

The consultation will run until 4 September 2020. It is available in all official EU languages. The process will be complemented by a series of outreach events engaging a wide range of stakeholders. The Action Plan contributes to the European Commission’s broader ambition to create a European Education Area by 2025. You are kindly invited to participate in the consultation, sharing your experiences and expertise.
