EDEN Fellow Awards 2012 – Call for Nominations

EDEN has established a recognition scheme of the Association by introducing the titles of EDEN Fellow and Senior Fellow.

The EDEN Fellow title is an expression of acknowledgement of professional merit by the Association, for members of the EDEN Network of Academics and Professionals (NAP), who have demonstrated excellence in professional practice in the field of open, flexible, distance and e-learning and provided valued support to the evolution and progress of EDEN.

The first Fellow awards were handed over in 2007 at the Annual Conference in Naples. Since then, several such awards were presented, using the publicity of our conferences The list of outstanding professionals awarded can be consulted on the web.

The main activities for which the Fellow titles have been be awarded, were the following:

  • Support to the development of EDEN as European organisation
  • Significant contribution as International or National collaboration partner of EDEN
  • Regular contributions at EDEN conferences and publications in EURODL
  • Lifetime achievements
  • European educational and ICT policy development

For the year 2012 members are invited to send nominations for the EDEN Fellows via an email sent to the EDEN Secretariat.

The nomination should include the description of the activities of the nominee (up to 3 pages, including annexes) and recommendation from two EDEN NAP members coming from different institutions.

The deadline of nominations is 5 April 2012.
