Podcasting is a new technology that is increasingly capturing academics' attention and imagination. However, research into students’ experience of podcasting is understandably in its very early stages. This workshop is based on a UK research project entitled IMPALA aiming to deliver guidelines and pedagogical models for integrating podcasts in higher education. Workshop participants will gain an insight into IMPALA models and research-based evidence of how students used and learned from podcasts. Participants will learn some of the software and techniques involved in developing and integrating podcasts into an institutional VLE.

The workshop introduces the present progress of quality certification building in higher education and mainstreaming an eLearning label for Universities created by The UNIQUe project consortium and the European Foundation for Quality in eLearning. The workshop aims to present in details the progress of the creation of an eLearning Quality label for programmes certification and Universities accreditation that certifies and facilitates improvement of higher education eLearning -related processes and management. The reflective views and feedback about the present progress will be generated by the eLearning experts worldwide.
