Welcome Cocktail and ReceptionThe Welcome Cocktail on 24 October at Stockholm Institute of Education, the conference venue, will provide opportunity for delegates to familiarise themselves with the environment and the settings and to start personal networking.

Participants are invited to join the Reception on the evening of 25 October in the famous Stockholm City Hall, well known all over the world mainly as it is hosting the Nobel Prize Banquet every year in its Blue Hall. Bus transfer will be arranged from the conference venue to the City Hall, where following a short guided visit, a reception will be offered. The reception is included in the conference fee.

The City Hall, built of eight million red bricks, is one of the capital’s major landmarks and national symbols of Sweden, an elegant, dignified and serious setting. Its 106 m high Tower wears three golden crowns and offers a breathtaking view from the top. Besides the Blue Hall, where you find one of Europe's biggest pipe organs, there are several other beautifully decorated halls for banquets and official meetings, like the Golden Hall with an impressive Byzantine mosaic (18 million pieces!).
The Council of Chamber is used for the regular meetings of the Stockholm City Council. The ceiling of this room with its virtual opening was built in the style of a traditional Viking longhouse.
