Paper SubmissionYou are invited to submit full proposals (no abstracts are required) for presentations in parallel sessions, or posters that relate to one or more of the conference themes. Poster presentations will also be themed and moderated in related panel discussions. There will also be space in the programme for a limited number of workshops, introducing a more comprehensive theme.
Besides addressing the significance and impact of cultural factors in distance and e-learning development in Europe and beyond, the intercultural issue will also be understood for the conference as the pooling and sharing of experience of the successful design and implementation of learning solutions in diverse environments.
Authors of accepted papers and posters will be invited to send a consize summary (1 page) of their paper to be published in the Book of Abstracts that will be made available for all participants. Registered delegates will have electronic access to the full version of contributions prior to the conference. Accepted papers will be published on CD-ROM and handed over to participants as part of the conference package.
The Best Research Paper award will be given with the support in the selection process of the Ulrich Bernath Foundation jury. A best poster award will also be made. Submissions may fall in the category of

How to contribute?
Papers, strictly not exceeding six A4 pages, and posters (particularly recommended in the categories of research and projects in early stages of development, smaller scale case studies, etc), up to four pages, including figures and references, should be submitted in English by 1 February, 2008 as MS Word doc files, through the online submission form available by clicking here. Authors of posters accepted for presentations will be required to prepare a ca. A1 size poster for display.
Papers submitted should meet the costumary academic requirements: clear research questions, methodology, contextualisation, results, conclusions and implications, references. Language check is essential in order to avoid papers being returned for revision. Please, find the format requirements here.
For workshops a concise description of the theme, the presentation structure and speakers in three A4 pages is asked for.
The working language of the conference will be English.
