#EDENChat: Digital Storytelling as a collaborative tool for active and deep learning

The next #EDENChat will take place on 30 May 2018, at 20:00 CEST and will be hosted by hosted by Antonia Liguori (Loughborough University).  It will focus on digital storytelling as a collaborative tool for active and deep learning. Please join us using the hashtag #EDENChat!

As suggested by Porter (2015), ‘the digital storytelling process helps us transform isolated facts into illuminated, enduring understandings’. Hence during this #EDENChat we will discuss how ‘storying’ the cultural heritage (namely making digital stories inspired by museums objects) can represent a way of making information come emotionally alive in a learning process aimed at improving the 21st Century skills.

This conversation will be inspired by a current exploration of ways of ‘embedding’ the Digital Storytelling method into the Smithsonian Learning Lab:

Smithsonian Learning Lab: Discover, Create, Share
Discover. The thrill of discovery awaits you in the Smithsonian Learning Lab. From the Discovery space shuttle to the Star Spangled Banner to dinosaur fossils, the Learning Lab gives everyone with a desire to learn the opportunity to explore the Smithsonian’s rich resources anytime, anywhere.
