How to leverage quality to drive rather than block innovation

While formal quality assurance regimes have increasingly focused on the student experience, they have not made student engagement the key driver for quality. Nor do such regimes look at whether the program is innovative, flexible, making great use of technology for learning analytics and assessment and is engaging students with potential applications of that learning. If we want to see quality as a lever for innovation rather than as a barrier to it, we need to start re-thinking our approach to quality.
