The Learning Analytics Community Exchange – LACE project has just published a new LACE Review Paper: Is privacy a showstopper for learning analytics? The review considers the dangers that might be raised by learning analytics, explores the ethical perspectives on privacy and data which are relevant to these dangers, and then discusses a number of current proposals from institutions which propose avoid these difficulties.
