4. News from the Executive Committee

The EDEN Executive Committee held its meeting on 7 February in Leuven. It was a great opportunity to prepare for the 2012 Research Workshop that will be held at the University of Leuven in October. The workshop – on which details will be announced soon – will be hosted in an exceptional historic setting at the medieval heart of the University.

The EC has noted the withdrawal of its member, Professor Gilly Salmon who worked for most of 2011 in Australia and recently occupied a senior position at the Swinburne University. EDEN will maintain close relations with Gilly and wishes her continuing success in the future. A new EC member will be elected at the Annual General Meeting in Porto in June.
