Open Classroom Conference: Digiskills Final Event

Celebrating innovative teachers

This conference is the final event of the Digiskills project. The conference is organised in collaboration with the Open Discovery Space and Greenet projects under the umbrella of the EDEN Open Classroom Conference series. The conference organisers, Ellinogermaniki Agogi and EDEN - European Distance and E-Learning Network welcome you and look forward to celebrate innovative teachers and their practices.

This conference offers free training opportunities, best teaching practices, theory and practice for educators, it s free with previous online registration. If you missed the registration deadline, drop us an e-mail to see if places are available for any of the days. The language of the Event is English.

The delegates will have access to all conference facilities, the printed  Conference Proceedings, the Welcome Reception, all lunches and refreshments during the 3 days of the conference.

Innovative Programme and Training Activities

The programme starts already on Friday afternoon. After the registration, participants are invited to get inspired for the event by the first keynote speakers' session followed by a Welcome Reception. On Saturday, innovative teachers will present their work to the conference audience about a wide variety of subject from physics through safe internet use to supporting green careers. The programme also includes Scholarly Contributions, giving the floor to academics and professionals to present their research and validated practices- Throughout the conference, participants can choose and participate in various open schooling and teacher training events:

Green Ideas 2015 - Facilitating communities in green education training

Designing for Learning and Inclusion: Universal Design for Learning in action training

The "Big Ideas of Science" as means to promote multidisciplinary science activities training

Social Media for Teaching and Learning training

Using Open Badge packs to support teaching across the curriculum training

ProsocialLearn: introduction to prosociality & prosocial learning games training

Fighting against bullying and discrimination; awareness techniques & planning of an effective strategy training

How to apply for an Erasmus+ KA1 Grant training


The Synergy Strand aims to facilitate the sharing of project deliverables, research findings and experiences, offering the participants an open platform to develop new or extended collaboration ideas and plans, to create highly beneficial partnerships by engaging the conference audience ininteractive working group activities.

The Fun Part: Social Events
 

Visit to the Acropolis Museum
We are organising a visit to Acropolis Museum on 20 September, Sunday evening, before the Conference Dinner. The tour includes the transfer (by charter bus) at 17:00hrs from Ellinogermaniki Agogi (Conference venue) and 2 hours guided tour to the Acropolis Museum by a professional licensed guide. Pleaseregister in case you are interested to participate (cost: 35 EUR/person).

Conference Dinner
The social dinner will take place on Sunday 20 September at 20:30 after the tour to Acropolis museum at a traditional tavern in the Plaka area, in walking distance from Acropolis. Buses will take participants back to their hotels after dinner. Pleaseregister here in case you are interested to participate (cost: 35 EUR/person).
