PhD Student Symposium- Grants from the Ulrich Bernath Foundation available! A PhD Student Symposium will take place on 24 October 2018. The event has been designed to provide discussion forum and foster the exchange of experience among doctoral research students. Senior researchers of the conference themes will help young scholars with reflections and advice. The Ulrich Bernath Foundation for Research in Open and Distance Learning will support FIVE young scholars or teams of young scholars with a grant of 600 Euros for successfully submitting a conference paper to be presented at the EDEN Research Workshop in Barcelona in October 2018. Farewell Ingeborg BøIngeborg Bo, President of EDEN, 2003 – 2007, Chair of the Norwegian Association for Distance and Flexible Education, Norway passed away in August. The EDEN Family, established by Ingeborg, the Fellows and Community will always remember her as the most charming and irretrievable President, our friend, who dedicated many years and efforts to make EDEN a strong and successful organization. |

Workshop on the Learning Passport developed in the OEPass projectGet involved in the latest international projects of EDEN! OEPass deals with the topic of micro-credentials, the most timely and relevant concept in higher education and adult learning. Don’t miss the opportunity to be updated in this important topic by experts in the field! You are kindly invited to participate in this 2 x 90 minutes workshop introducing the concept and use of the Learning Passport, the initiative of the Open Education Passport (OEPass) project. The workshop will explain how the Learning Passport facilitates the recognition of open education credentials in Europe. The workshop embedded in the 10th EDEN Research Workshop will take place on 25 October 2018. More information will follow on the Research Workshop website.
