Programme Structure

The Conference programme will include plenaries, parallel sessions with paper presentations, workshops, moderated poster, demo sessions and synergy strand. The event will start on Tuesday afternoon on 9 June, with registration, followed by the Welcome Cocktail and will end with a Farewell Coffee on 12 June.

Interactive session formats

The sessions will combine traditional elements as well as more interactive formats, such as research speed dating, homegroups and fishbowls:

Speed dating sessions allow researchers and practitioners to come together to discuss their interests and find others with similar interests or ideas and experience they can draw on. The 90 minute session will consist of  5 minutes of introduction, 25 minutes of ‘fast rotation’ in which the presenters deliver a short (2-3 minute) summary of their research and their questions, 45 minutes where participants cluster into small groups in which they can have more in-depth discussions around their common research topic, then finally 15 minutes to round off and conclude the sessions and give feedback to the session audience.

A homegroup is a randomly assigned group of participants. Delegates will be assigned to a random homegroup with people from different countries. The purpose is to work participatively in a new and fresh environment and make friends from different locals.
