Quality, Higher Education and ICT. These are the keywords for a new European Union co-funded project started in this year in Budapest, Hungary. The representatives of eleven institutions from all over the continent and beyond held their new project’s kick-off meeting on 14-15 January 2008. The three year long initiative is promoting quality in the strategic use of ICT in European Higher Education.

We invite European academic and professional practitioners and in particular the EDEN community to contribute and share experience in Lisbon on 11-14 June 2008, when the host Universidade Aberta, the Portuguese Open University will share with us the great pleasure of their 20th Anniversary and the celebrations.

The venue of the Conference will be the magnificent Belém Cultural Centre, on the Tagus river side next to the Tower of Belém and the Historical Jeronimos Monastery.

The presentations of Taking Learning Mobile conference are now available online. The speakers and participants discussed the resources, technologies and challenges facing the incorporation of mobile learning into mainstream education and training. The conference was the closing event of Mobile Learning - Incorporating mobile learning into mainstream education and training project.

The conference addressed topics such as personalised learning, SMS services in distance education, the use of podcasting technology in learning processes as well as case studies on how mobile learning is being implemented in real higher education learning situations.
