Steve Wheeler elected as Chair of the NAP Steering Committee

EDEN Network of Academics and Professionals (NAP) Steering Committee appointed Steve Wheeler (University of Plymouth, UK) as Chair of the Steering Committee in an anonymous voting procedure. Steve has been an long-standing and active EDEN member since early on in the history of the Association and has regularly attended EDEN events. He was awarded with the EDEN Fellow title and been elected to the NAP Steering Committee for 2 consecutive terms. 

Steve’s dedication for the Association manifested in several keynote speaker interviews (see his latest one with Prof Terry Anderson here) as well as in his series of short video interviews with some of the Oslo conference speakers. About Steve:

Steve Wheeler is Associate Professor of Learning Technologies at Plymouth University, in South West England and a passionate blogger. Originally trained as a psychologist, he has spent his entire career working in media, technology and learning. He is now in the Faculty of Health, Education and Society. He teaches on a number of undergraduate and post-graduate teacher education programmes. He specialises in research on e-learning and distance education, with particular emphasis on social media and Web 2.0 tools. Steve was named as the world’s 4th most influential Twitter personality on the topic learning technology in 2012.
