Join the beautiful city of Timisoara via a live virtual tour, which we hope will compensate with the impossibility of travelling. Lively videos of Timisoara and it’s cultural heritage will be presented together with AR/VR elements. Politehnica University of Timisoara with the National Banat Museum is running a project for a digital Timisoara culture with Spotlight Heritage Timisoara. We plan to take you through parts of the city, live with a local guide who can answer some of your questions.
After you finish enjoying our local heritage and highlights we are going to enjoy some interesting presentations regarding the development of STE(A)M, education and digital culture in Timisoara. Radu Ticiu, coordinator of CoderDojo, HackTM , BioceoderDojo, and others will take you through all the great communities he has built for children, teenagers and young adults and the wonderful involvement of these future generations in the development of the local community.
Oana Romocea, one of the organizers of Romanian Science Festival will show you how this interactive festival is helping young people interact with STEAM and how they get stimulated to learn more about this area, and became a real support for science education in pandemic time.
A very actual topic is how the Timisoara community was involved in education before and during Covid-19 through a series of projects Științescu, EducaTM, Timotion, the presenters are Simona Fit, Valentin Muresan, Radu Ticiu and others.
We plan to turn this session into a very interactive one, so feel free to prepare your questions as we will insist you join the Q&A session.
