Register now and join us on 7-8 October!

The Joint Research Centre (JRC) B4, in association with the Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture (DG-EAC) and the Directorate-General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion (DG-EMPL) will bring the SELFIE community together for the second SELFIE Forum.

This online event aims to gather invited education experts from different related profiles: school leaders, teachers, students, trainers, national coordinators, policymakers, researchers, practitioners and future potential users. Plenary sessions of the online event will be live-streamed and open to the public. Various interactive workshops will also take place. This year’s forum will focus on providing inspiration to schools and teachers to create their own digital action plans and take a step forward in developing digital capacity. Commissioner Mariya Gabriel, responsible for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth, and Commissioner Nicolas Schmit, responsible for Jobs and Social Rights will both participate in the event.

SELFIE is a self-reflection tool designed to help schools reflect on the integration of digital technologies in their practice. Since its official launch in October 2018, more than 1,7 million users have used SELFIE to reflect on their schools’ digital capacity. SELFIE has become particularly relevant in helping schools during the pandemic to embark on digital and online learning.

In developing the self-reflection tool of the Reflecting for Change project the consortium used the information contained in Selfie to generate sustainable school innovation to make schools open and digitally mature.
