#EDENChat: #OpenVirtualMobility: the learning hub – Discussion from the 10th EDEN Research Workshop in Barcelona

The next #EDENChat will take place on 24 October 2018, at 20:00 CEST and will be hosted by Diana Andone (@diando70), Director of the eLearning Center at the Politehnica University of Timisoara, Romania, EDEN Vice-President. We will be discussing the “#OpenVirtualMobility: the learning hub” from the 10th EDEN Research Workshop in Barcelona. Please join us using the hashtag #EDENChat!

Dr. Diana Andone is the Director of the eLearning Center of Politehnica University of Timisoara, responsible for planning and implementing eLearning. She is also professor at the same university, in the area of multimedia, interactive and web technologies.  She is passionate about the ubiquitous access to technologies and how they can be used to improve people’s life. She constantly teaches course modules in universities from UK, France, Finland, Italy and Greece. Among her extensive publication list, she counts also 7 best paper awards at different conferences, chairing and reviewing conferences and journals papers in the area of learning technologies, open education, open knowledge, Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs), as well as human-computer interaction. She is also involved extensively in several professional organisations and associations (IEEE, EDEN, IADIS, AACE, W3C, IAFES), currently a Vice-President for EDEN, actively supports the local start-up movement (StartUp Weekend, HacktTM, CoderDojo) and Women in Tech, as well as acting in the Board of local Romanian NGOs.

Open Virtual Mobility (openVM) is a European strategic partnership dedicated to creating accessible opportunities for achievement of virtual mobility skills to ensure higher uptake of virtual mobility in higher education in Europe and is funded under the European Erasmus+ Program.

#EDENChat is an online discussion event on Twitter initiated by Steering Committee of the EDEN Network of Academics and Professionals (NAP). It is mediated by members of the NAP community and runs for approximately 1 hour. Anyone can join in and contribute to the discussion which is presented in a Question and Answer format, and focuses on current issues in distance, open and e-learning. All sessions start at 20:00 CEST.
