Lisa Marie Blaschke

Lisa Marie Blaschke is an e-learning and communications consultant, specializing in education and technical writing services, from instructional design and development to project management.

Lisa has over 20 years experience working within international corporate environments, specifically with SAP AG in Walldorf, Germany. While with SAP, Lisa was head of information development and responsible for the design and implementation of enterprise-wide knowledge management and training solutions, which included the development and rollout of an integrated learning-object-based information design for training and documentation.

Since 2007, Lisa has been an instructor at Carl von Ossietzky Universität Oldenburg and an assistant professor (adjunct faculty) within the Master of Distance Education and E-learning (MDE) program in The Graduate School at the University of Maryland University College (UMUC). Lisa is one of the early graduates of the MDE and also holds a Bachelor of Science in Technical Communication from the University of Minnesota.

She is a member of the European Distance and E-learning Network (EDEN) and a senior member of the Society of Technical Communication (STC) and has published numerous papers/workshops through the organizations. In 2010, she was awarded the EDEN Best Research Paper award, and in 2012 was inducted into the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi and was awarded the title of EDEN Fellow. In addition to her teaching and consulting work, Lisa is on the reviewer panels of the International Review of Research in Online and Distance Learning (IRRODL) and the Journal of Online Learning and Teaching and is a member of the IGI Global editorial review board. Her research interests are primarily within the areas of online collaborative learning, self-determined learning, pedagogical application of web 2.0 technologies, and user interface design.
