EDEN Newsflash - January, 2005

1. We are pleased to announce that the invited articles of the Conference "ODL Networking for Quality Learning" organised by the European ODL Liaison Committee, Lisbon, Portugal, 2000, published in a book entitled "New Learning" are freely downloadable at at the EDEN publications download site, www.eden-online.org/eden.php?menuId=81.

3. The Swiss Centre for Innovations in Learning (SCIL) offers two Fellowships in 2005.

The SCIL Fellowship Programme aims at the promotion of interdisciplinary science communication on eLearning. The Programme enables experienced researchers to conduct a research project supporting the sustainable implementation of eLearning in educational organisations.

Due date for applications is February 28, 2005. For further information please refer to:

4. The S2-Net Consortium is pleased to offer you a set of products designed to contribute to the development of practitioners and local policy makers in the field of e-Learning. The project has developed the S2-Net website, guides to support the work of ODL practitioners and the S2-Net Research Database. Please find the products and the evaluation questionnaire at www.europace.org/s2net/evaluation.htm. Hoping that you find the S2-Net products useful and looking forward to your valuable feedback we thank you in advance for your collaboration.

5. We are delighted to inform you that in the past few months a number of interesting project started their progress with the involvement of EDEN, a couple of which are continuation of successful previous ones known by the ODL professional community (such as DELOS, SEEQUEL and eTTnet), while other initiatives are focusing on promoting digital literacy in rural communities in the field, or are promising reports and developments in the field of ubiquitous learning and multigrade education.
