Register by 20 March and be part of a unique European conference with fellow policy-makers, experts, researchers and practitioners on the future of social care in an ageing Europe. The CARER+ Final Conference is a free & open event with online registration only. The Conference opening will bring together high profile keynote speakers from all around Europe working in the field of social affairs for improvement of elderly people’s life condition at home and of caregivers work condition and development of ICT skills in social care. Participants will have the opportunity to attend panel discussions and to learn about the CARER+ cases including a showcase summary. To support networking and to create a possibility for other initiatives to collaborate, the CARER+ showcase will be followed by presentations and demonstrations of other similar initiatives’ results. In conclusion, a debate will be held on the needs of elderly people and their families, carers and professionals and develop sustainable solutions.


Webinar series on E-assessment and Learning Outcomes

3rd lecture: 18 March 2015 at 11.00 CET: “Mind the Gap! Perceptual differences and learning”

The lecturer will be Steve Wheeler, associate professor of Learning Technology in Plymouth Institute of Education, Plymouth University. He is going to discuss different gaps teachers and students face every day – generational gaps, gaps in understanding, expectation gaps, gaps in literacy, intention gaps – which can be widened or narrowed by using technology. He also explores flipped roles, digital assessment and technology enhanced learning in his presentation.

International Network for Home and Hospital Education through ICT

LeHo is developing an international network for Home and Hospital Education (HHE) with the use of ICT as enablers. The LeHo online hub is open for everybody involved and interested in the topic and includes resources that are being developed or collected by the LeHo team.

DigiSkills aims to bring together and further develop content, services, pedagogies and practices for lifelong learning in school/university/adult population, formulating specific scenarios of use of learning tools and platforms which will be tested with real users from eight countries (Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Greece, Poland, Spain, Switzerland, and the UK), and evaluated in terms of their impact, with a particular attention to institutional as well as pedagogical innovation and change.
