Measuring the contribution of higher education to innovation capacity in the EU

The current study is part of the actions taken aiming to analyse the links between the operations and effects of higher-education institutions on the capacity to innovate in the economies in Europe.

Which policies can best support schools as learning organisations?

The ET2020 Working Group on Schools has just published the third in a series of reports on the governance of school education. In this new report the Group identifies examples of policies and initiatives from across Europe that are aimed at raising quality and equity in school education by supporting teachers and school leaders in their daily practice and professional development.

 

National Student Fee and Support Systems in European Higher Education – 2017/18

When students plan for higher education, one important element to consider is how much it will cost and whether they can receive any financial support. In a Europe where it is easier than ever to study in another country, reliable information on the costs and available student support in higher education is essential. This report aims to provide both an overview of the main features of national fee and support systems and more detailed information on each individual country.

SAVE THE DATE! tMAIL final seminar in Athens, 20 October 2017

The tMAIL - Teacher Mobile Application for Innovative Learning project is inviting you to its final conference that will be held in Athens on 20 October 2017, as a pre-event of the 2017 EDEN Open Classroom Conference hosted by the Ellinogermaniki Agogi. This free of charge event will give participating teachers a chance to familiarise themselves with Self Regulated Learning (SRL), have hands-on experience with an SRL teaching application and will receive practical recommendations for integrating teaching of SRL in their classroom activities.

Recognition of Valid and Open Learning

Did you know that training material on non-formal open learning curriculum design is available for FREE?

The ReOPEN project creates solutions for establishing non-formal open learning at education organizations. Its 1st short term joint staff training event and 3rd partner meeting were held in Seville, October 2 – 6, 2017. Managers and researchers from the ReOPEN consortium discussed valid non-formal open and online learning infrastructures, learner verification solutions, assessment, proctoring and recognition issues. The special guest was Andreia Inamorato from EU Science Hub - Joint Research Centre (JRC).

The programme of the training week consisted of 3 parts:

Discussion continuously went on with teachers and trainers at lunchtime enjoying the delicious Spanish tapas.

EUCEN 2017 Autumn Seminar: How to establish and maintain financial sustainability in ULLL/ UCE centres: Keys and tips to success

EUCEN’s Autumn Seminar will take place in Barcelona on Thursday 16 - Friday 17 November 2017. By stimulating dialogue, gathering new ideas and working together towards new collaborations and projects, this year’s autumn seminar will tackle the following topics: Financial models of ULLL/UCE centres using different sources of funding; Identification of flagship programs, Open enrolment and Custom programs for diverse stakeholders; ROI calculations in training environments; and, Balancing Financial Sustainability with the institutions’ Social Mission.
