The Intelligent Tutoring for Lifelong Learning – I-TUTOR project published its second newsletter with an update on piloting the plug-in prototype, an invitation to its final conference in Bari, Italy and some interesting inside information in the form of an interview with one of the developers on the process of developing a multi-agent based, user-friendly intelligent tutoring system to support online teachers, trainers, tutors and learners.

The project has launched a call for papers for its final conference aiming at collecting experiences, cases, visions, approaches on artificial intelligence use in learning environments. Read Newsletter here.

In the second newsletter we give you an update on the NEST - Network of Staff and Teachers in Childcare Services community which started to spread its wings. National groups begin their collaborations in Germany, Italy, Spain, Slovenia, Finland, Greece and Hungary and created a multilingual pool of resources concerning Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC). In this issue, the focus lays on Finland, where early childhood education law is changing as ECEC becomes the part of the education and training system. We provide some insight on this process and introduce the Finnish system. Read Newsletter here.

What is Your Best Experience in Using ICTs for Teaching?

A short survey for the European initiative called Digiskills project invites teachers, trainers, professors and academic staff to reflect on what works and what doesn't work in an educational setting with ICTs. With only 6 questions to answer, this questionnaire maps good practices in teaching and learning with ICTs and collects brief information on how teachers' competences are related to ICT use. Your experiences support a new project called Digiskills, a 3 year long European initiative to be introduced for the first time at EDEN's Synergy Workshop this fall. Some of the practices submitted via this survey will be invited to be shared online and live. The event is for free and will be accompanied with an online workshop. To be considered for invitation, after answering the questions, don't forget to enter your e-mail address.
