Learning Analytics Community Exchange

The project will focus on the enablers of development and adoption of analytics that has desirable, effective and sustainable effect on learning. The partnership will collaborate with existing initiatives such as the International Educational Data Mining Society, the Society for Learning Analytics Research and the EDUCAUSE Learning Initiative to deliver a range of community-centred activities, capturing and disseminating the narrative of this quickly-developing field. This project produces detailed studies to boost four enablers:

  • integration of a range of people to strengthen the creation and sharing of knowledge among research, practice and policy;
  • gathering and documenting evidence for and against claims of effectiveness and issues of a practical or cultural nature;
  • elicitation and capture of desired futures and the degree of consensus on what is desirable or feasible;
  • common data models and interoperability as a basis for research data sharing and a viable market place.
